Chocolate Cake

12/30/2012 21:17

Most chocolate cakes are made the same but I checked the recipe I came up with and nobody else has it.

     Ingredients: * 1 and 1/2 cup of flour

                       * 1 cup of sugar

                       * 1 teaspoon of baking powder

                       * 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

                       * 1/3 cup of Hershey's brand special dark cocoa powder

                       * 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter ( it doesn't HAVE to be unsalted but it tastes better if it is)

* 2 eggs

* 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

* 1/2 cup of sour cream ( not necessary or you can use 2/3 cup of whipping cream)

Steps: Stir everything in a bowl, large blender, mixer, or processor until you have a smooth yet thick mixture. preheat the oven to 350 degrees Ferinheight.

(Did I spell that correctly? Please tell me in the guestbook.) Let your cake bake for about 35 minutes then let it cool for as long as you want. Sorry there's no icing on the cake this time. I am trying to come up with one. Enjoy! if you make this tell me in the guestbook how it was!

Or if you didn't like either of them tell me if I should change it to something completely different. Thanks for being so loyal and nice to me. It means a lot and I really love you guys. Also I have to new recipes coming out today! It's a surprise so go check in the blog somewhere else to find them!

Super-Heroe's Hot Sauce

11/12/2012 23:59

YAY!!! NEW RECIPE!!!!

Okay, so this is my new recipe for hot sauce, and I think it's really good. It's reallyhot, though, so if you can't take heat then DON'T try it. Idon't want you to burn yourself up. :) Here's what you need.

Ingredients: * 1 can of tomato sauce (tomato soup works too, basically the same thing though)

                  * 3 tablespoons of chili powder

                  * 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

                  * 1 tablespoon of crushed red peppers

                  * 1 teaspoon of salt

                  * 1/2 cup of water

                  * 1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce

                  * 1 tablespoon of vinegar

You can add a few drops of your favorite hot sauce if you want too, but in my opinion this sauce is hot enough.

Steps: Pour everything in a large bown and stir together, then microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. This thins out the tomato sauce a bit.

            Simple right? This should make to jars of sauce. (Mason jars) Store in the fridge and enjoy!!!!!

Granola Bars

07/07/2012 19:18

This makes 4 bars. You will need a blender or food processor*

   Ingredients: * 4 granola bars of any kind

                     * 6 tablespoons of peanut butter

                     * 2 teaspoon of Karo Syrup

                     * 1 cup of Cheerios or O's ( they are like Cheerios but have peanuts with them)

                     * 2/3 cup of honey

                     * 4 teaspoons of Olive Oil

                     * 2 cup of mixed nuts

         Steps: Blend the granola bars, peanut butter, and cereal in the blender or food processor. Put this mixture in a medium sized bowl.

                    Then add everything else and stir very hard. You should have a sticky but chunky mixtrure. An 8x8 works best.. Sit it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes. Take it out and cut into small squares giving you 8 of those, or 4 bars. Enjoy. Please do not use this recipe if you are allergic to ANY kind of nut.

Cupcake Contest Updates

07/06/2012 19:59

I have more news about the cupcake contest. Some of you have really god ideas, but aren't going to be the winners, so I'm having a second and third place to go alog with first. Scond place will recieve an image of theircupcake tower or cupcake, and a blog completely on them winning second place. 3rd place however will only get a blog on them being third place, but that's not so bad since your getting a shout-out, a HUGE one, too. So keep sending me ideas I need 10 more before I pick a winner. By the way, the most detailed idea, including what flavor of icing and cupcake and more will plae in the top three. I also have a secret surprise for the winners which I will make a blog on after the contest is over. Remember, only 10 more to go!!!

Choclate Covered Bacon

07/04/2012 21:22

  Ingredients: * Semi-sweet choclate chips ( Use as many as you'd like )

                    * Bacon from your local grocery store, use as many strips as you need to.

                    * 1 teaspoon of Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder

                    * (optional) Sprinkles of your choice

                    * 2 tablespoons of milk ( it doesn't matter if it's hole or 2% or whatever )

   Steps: Put the chocolate chips and milk in a large mcrowavable bowl. Heat for 1 minute. Check to see if the cips are melting. If they have, take them out. If not microwave for 30 more seconds and that should melt them. The mil would have made the mixture creamy but stir it up a little more until you have a nice mixture. Mix in the cocoa powder until it's all mixed in well. Make sure you have cooked your bacon the way you like it, wether it's chewy, crispy, or soft. Take some plastic wrap and put it over an oven pan. Spread some chocolate in strips for however many bacon strips you have. Lay the bacon  strips in those spots and flip them over to coat both sides. Put your sprinkles on the side facing up. using tongs so you don't mess up the chocolate, lay the bacon strips on another pan covered in plastic wrap. let the chocolate harden here with the sprinkles. Enjoy after that! Bring these to a 4th of July party and use red white and blue sprinkles!

I'm Vegetarian!

07/04/2012 20:49

 I was looking up drink stirrers with a pig on top yesterday. I thought it would be cute. I could make a Margarita with no alchohol in it so kids could have it, too, then make it fun by adding the cute stirrer, but people tag everything when they post an image to Google. Before I knew it, there was a nasty picture of A WHOLE ROASTED PIG! It was disgusting and next to it was a picture of a baby pig, and I then realiz that's what I eat when I eat bacon. I felt so bad abot it So now I'm a vegetarian. It's hard for me since i used to be all about meat and now it's gone but i just feel too bad to eat it.I'm sorry to all you meat-lovers but that's me. So as a gift I have a chocolate coverred bacon recipe out later today. By the time you read tgis it's probably right above this blog. look and check. Happy eating, nomatter if you're a meat eater, a vegan, or like me. :)

That will be white, another patriotic color.And last, blue. Spray some whipped cream in a small bowl and mix in 3 drops of food coloring.
